Maribeth will read and edit novels (when time permits) of writers who have worked with her previously in classes.

Editing fee is $4 per double-spaced page (12 inch font). You will receive all written comments and a 2-3 page review of your work.

Ideally, students who want to work with me on novels will begin with a class like “Graduate School in A Box,” which reviews essentials of fiction writing that are crucial to understand (even if that understanding comes after you have written a draft!).

I also require students who want to work with me on a novel to take at least one, eight-week tutorial  from a separate class — “Assignments in Fiction I and II.” These classes are designed to build/develop character and troubleshoot plot issues before delving into the actual novel.

Upon completion of these classes, I’m willing to consider working with writers in a novel mentorship or through my editing services.
